In 1997, he graduated with honors from the P.I. Tchaikovsky Music College in Almaty, specializing in "Special Piano," and received the qualifications of piano teacher, accompanist, and ensemble performer. Laureate of two Republican competitions (classical piano, jazz piano). In 2002 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geography of Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi with a degree in Social and Cultural Service and Tourism with the qualification of Tourism Manager, Teacher of Geography and Tourism. In 2009 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics and Accounting of the University of International Business (UIB) with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Audit. In 2010 he defended his dissertation work on the topic “Assessment of the natural resource potential for the development of the territorial recreational system of Northern Kazakhstan” under the supervision of Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor Dzhanaleeva G.M., Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Plokhih R.V. By the decision of the Committee for Control in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 30, 2011 (Protocol No. 6) Khozhayev M.A. awarded the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences. In the period from 2002 until 2003, he worked as a tourism manager at Avista LLP. He has extensive experience (2007-2018) in one of the largest second-tier banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2007-2010 Operational Services Department, 2010-2018 Currency Control Department). In 2018, he began his working career as an Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi.
